On February 6, we hosted our latest Conversations with Leaders event, “Preparing for Unexpected Life Transitions,” and what an insightful discussion it was!

Marc Séguin, author of “Advocacy in Aging”, and Charles Barrett, Compassionate Ottawa Board member, explored the challenges and opportunities that come with aging, health changes, and life transitions. Marc shared wisdom from his book, emphasizing the five essential pillars of planning: financial preparedness, powers of attorney, downsizing, living wills, and gradual transitions.

Their conversation was filled with real-life stories, practical advice, and meaningful reflections on how to build a strong support system and ensure that our values and wishes are honored as we age.

If you missed it—or want to revisit the discussion—you can watch the full event here.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and stay tuned for more engaging conversations in the future!
