Advance care planning conversations are difficult for everyone, but especially for those who are marginalized. Please join us for an opportunity to unpack the perspectives of care providers and clients navigating the social determinants of health, particularly as they intersect with the delivery of palliative care. From the creators of Blue Roses (living and dying in Ottawa inner-city rooming houses, available now on CBC Gem) comes a 20-minute documentary featuring the voices of Diane Morrison Hospice clients. This screening will be followed by a diverse panel discussion that will include people with lived experience – to explore the tensions of survival, stigma, and ending life with dignity.
