On September 20th, Compassionate Ottawa was delighted to host 20 community leaders from the Ethnocultural Seniors Network of the Ottawa Social Planning Council for a full day of knowledge exchange. Through this collaboration, we are launching a community education program called Care for Life. Community facilitators are being prepared to offer courses, in multiple languages, in their cultural communities. Our aim is to reduce social isolation and increase support for people who are seriously ill, caregiving, dying or grieving. We are grateful for this collaboration that will help build a more compassionate Ottawa for people of all cultures, and to the Ontario Seniors Community Grant Program for funding to help launch it.

A Heartfelt Thanks to the Arbor Memorial Foundation
