"It’s hard for us to be isolated from family, friends, sports, physical activity, choirs … we are all suffering and dealing with this crisis in different ways. Imagine if you were also a caregiver for a family member or friend. A family/friend caregiver is someone who takes on an unpaid caring role for another person who needs help because of a physical or cognitive condition, an injury or a chronic illness. As Carers Canada (a national alliance committed to identifying and responding to the needs of caregivers in Canada) notes, 'It’s not if, it’s when you will be a carer.'"
